Abstract

|
The authors attempted to find out the carrier of Salmonella from 325 cases of fecal samples at the Sungju-ri area in April and May 1975 .
The rate of Salmonella and sensitivity test of isolated Salmonella were studied. The results are summarized as follows;
1) Two cases were S. typhi and one case was S. enteritidis from 325 fecal samples.
2) Two strains of S. typhi were resistant . to Erythromycin, moderate resistant to Kanamycin, Terramycin, Streptomycin, and Aureomycin, and sensitive to Chloramphenicol and Penicillin.
One strain of S. enteritidis was resistant to Erythromycin, moderate resistant to Ka-namycin, Terramycin, Aureomycin, and sensitive to Chloramphenicol, Streptomycin, and Penicillin.
